The Met Gala is one of the most important fashion events in the world. It is conducted as a annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
Every year big Hollywood celebrities attend the event and slay the red carpet for amazing and stunning costumes that are a result of some out-of-the-box creativity. Celebrities Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna are known as the absolute showstoppers.
Indian Celebrities Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone have also attended the event and as usual turned eyes towards them. While Deepika Padukone owned the red carpet alone, Priyanka Chopra electrified it better with her husband Nick Jonas.
While fashionistas are commending Priyanka’s costume with respect to the theme and bold motif, there have been mixed comments from fans. Singer Srinivas has taken to twitter to comment about PC’s look for the Met Gala. While Shilpa Rathnam, a screenwriter, criticised Priyanka’s look, Srinivas shared the tweet and captioned: Yogi Babu has competition.

There have also been comparisons and questions raised about PC and DP’s appearances and it is doubted whether they are in a competition. It must be noted that Priyanka Chopra was considered one of the best dressed celebrities of the Met Gala during some of its previous editions.
