Simtaangaran sarkar single review

After a lot of following up and expectations, the first single from Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar with AR Murugadoss is finally out. The song is composed by AR Rahman and written by Vivek.

Right from the word go, the song gives you all the vibes of being a thara-local kuththu song! The lyrics are peculiar and follow the Madras Tamil slang. The composition is of a very native folk flavor and the beats are very earthy. The instruments used are sounding extremely sharp, but their usage seems to be of the kind we've heard before. The string section that forms the base of the melody along with the background score sounds attractive.

There is quite a lot of the local slang mixed with Tanglish, making it a little hard to follow the lyrics. However, their peculiarity will add to the curiosity and give it the ability to stick to the head of the listener. The singers seem to be apt for the genre as the punch in the voice is a much-needed push.

It is safe to say that we have heard tracks that have become instant sensations, but there is a certain sense of doubt surrounding this track, which might need a big push in terms of likeability. After quite some time, ARR delivers a song that might have us wanting to hear more of it to adapt to the flavor.

Whatever said and done, the percussions and the peppiness of the track guarantees that the stage is set up for a massy dance from Vijay!
