Popular Bengali actress and Trinamool Congress candidate, Nusrat Jahan on Wednesday had a narrow escape from a bizarre kind of incident where her huge ardent fans rushed to the stage for selfies that caused the stage to crash.
The incident took place in Gopiballabhpore area where Nusrat was campaigning for the TMC candidate Birbaha Soren. However, there were injuries caused to anyone as the stage was not very high.
In the video, the actress can be seen talking to the people on the stage when the fans around her started taking selfies. As soon as the stage crashed, Nusrat took the mic and told the gathering, “everyone's fine, no one is hurt”.
Nusrat is named under the TMC candidate from the Basirhat Lok Sabha seat in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal along with fellow actress Mimi Chakraborty. Nusrat is said to be the crowd-puller of the party.
