The movie followed the life of a benevolent but carefree prince of Singampatti, who turns hero once he knew from what a historic lineage he comes from. He changes the ways of the village and instates what he believes is the for his people.
Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Seema Raja’ was inspired and based on the life of Murugadoss Theerthapathy, India’s last crowned prince, and Zamindar. Murugadoss Theerthapathy was the 31st crowned king in the Singampatti Zamin.
Aged 89, Murugadoss Theerthapathy passed away in his residence yesterday. Hearing this, Sivakarthikeyan has marked his condolence, and has mentioned that Seema Raja's role will always be one which he will be proud of.
