Sai Pallavi's statement about working with Selvaraghavan in NGK

Sai Pallavi had expressed about her experience working with stalwarts like Selvaraghavan and Suriya. The actress was in awe with the sense of discipline instilled by the director as she remarked that "During the first day of shoot, the director had asked the cast and crew to treat the set like a temple. In other film sets, we use our mobile phones and talk about other films too, but I was only focusing on my character in a full-fledged manner."

She also mentioned that Selvaraghavan has a very particular vision when it comes to performances. The director instructs actors on every single expression, especially when emoting anger, the artist's breathing must not be visible in the performance.

The actress had also recounted her experience with self doubt while working in NGK, "While shooting for a scene in the film, the director wasn't satisfied with my performance. I went to my home and told my mother 'I will go back to medicine, I am not a good actor', and I way crying the whole day. But the next day, he okayed my first take. When asked about  whether my mother spoke to him about yesterday, he said she didn't and that he was very much satisfied with my performance."
