''WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR A HAIR DRESSER FOR MOTTA RAJENDRAN?''

The teams of Ivan Thanthiran and Vanamagan had a joint press meet last evening, where the core team members from both the teams were present. The list included names like Jayam Ravi, Gautham Karthik, directors Vijay and Kannan, Dhananjayan, RJ Balaji, and veteran producer A.L.Alagappan.
 

RJ Balaji, during his speech, said, "I do not know much about cinema, but I feel I can say something from what I've seen and come across. There was a producer, who I know well, and he told me about this. It seems like Motta Rajendran had come to a shoot, and there was a hairdresser along with him. When the producer asked why there is a need for a hairdresser for Motta Rajendran, the hairdresser replied saying those are association rules. So, though he didn't have work there, he must be paid. Same way, the producer has to pay for all the assistants, who come along with a heroine, and it would cost around 50,000 per day. Imagine the heroine's call sheet is for 30 days, what would be the total cost? That is the plight of a producer. So, if we join and solve small issues like these, producers will be happier and motivated.

People outside say, what is the big difficulty for cinema people in paying the tax? I am not here to blame them. It is we, the film people who are to be blamed, because, we only conduct all these fake success parties, 50th day, 100th-day posters, and hype up all the box office numbers. Agreed that cinema is a glamorous profession, but in reality, only a very few known faces earn well, and there are thousands of people behind the camera, who earn daily wages.  So, support our films for the next few days in theatres, as it involves the livelihood of so many people."
