Earlier, the crew have been engaged in releasing small information about the movie - its location stills and sneak peak videos. A new sneak peak video of Rayappan (Bigil’s father) and Bigil together along with a police officer is doing rounds in social media. The scene that had already made the fans of Vijay enjoy in theatres is getting more viewers.

In Bigil, Vijay has also played the role of Rayappan, an aged man, who is a don-kind character - a different take from Thalapathy. The film features Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Jackie Shroff, Vivek, Kathir and Indhuja. The movie was well received for its woman empowerment theme and director Atlee was appreciated for it.
