WHAT IS EXPENSIVE EVEN FOR SUPERSTAR?

News has it that Rajinikanth’s 2.0 crew is shooting in EVP (Chennai) currently. Last month the team was in Delhi shooting for the climax scene which also included Akshay Kumar in a cricket stadium.

Technical details regarding the shooting process of this mega project have been floating around. It is being talked about that all the songs, action sequence and talkies are being shot using a 3D camera, which is a specially rigged camera for stereoscopic. It is also being said that the scenes involving CG work will be shot in normal 2D camera and the scenes will be converted to 3D as was the case with Sivaji 3D in Hollywood Studios.
 

CG work for 2.0 is being predominantly done by Animatronix studios. Since shooting scenes with CG work using 3D camera is expensive, it is being said that the team decided to shoot such scenes with normal 2D camera. It is also being touted that the movie will be India’s highest budget movie.
