Superstar Rajinikanth is one among the top stars who come forward to appreciate a movie and the team after watching wholeheartedly. Similarly, the Kabali star had watched Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva (MSKS) on day 2 of the release and invited Lawrence and MSKS team personally to congratulate them. He was more specific about Lawrence's stunt and style in his appreciation.

Director Sai Ramani who spoke about the meeting with excitement said, "Being a huge Superstar fan, I was on cloud nine for directing a movie with the Superstar's biggest fan, Lawrence sir. However, post the movie release I was totally upset about the Makkal Superstar controversy, but the surprise invite from the superstar made my day. When I met him, I had a chance to explain to him the reason for using the Makkal Superstar tag. The two-year journey with Lawrence sir increased the respect for his heartful social activities. But since it didn't go well among the Superstar fans. I regret it, and the title credits are now changed in most of the theaters, and remaining theaters will be done soon. But Rajini sir was more humble and congratulated all of us for the movie's success and he also wished me good luck for my next".
