Samantha made her acting debut in Tamil in the film Moscowin Kavery with Rahul Ravindran which was directed by Ravi Varman. This film sure laid a welcoming path for both the actors. The two of them also starred together in the 2018 horror film, U Turn.
Rahul Ravindran made his directorial debut in Chi La Slow in 2018 which received positive response from everywhere. Now he is directing his second film Manmadhudu 2 which is a romantic comedy in Telugu starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, Rakul Preet Singh and others. Reportedly, Samantha has been roped in to play a cameo role in the film.
Nagarjuna has shared pictures of him with Samantha from the movie stating it was an absolute delight to work with his daughter-in-law in Manmadhudu 2. Rahul Ravindran retweeted it saying that it was his delight to see them perform together. He also stated that it was very nostalgic to direct his first ever co-star, Samantha.

Nagarjuna and Samantha have already worked together in Manam which went on to become hugely successful. They have also acted in a horror flick, Raju Gari Gadhi 2 in 2017. More pictures of them from the movie, Manmadhudu 2 are expected to be out shortly.
