Meanwhile, a few actors have voluntarily stepped up and released statements saying that they are ready to compromise on their salaries. Many producers have also said that only if actors step-up and reduce their salaries, the movie will be financially beneficial for all the members associated in the film.

In the latest statement, popular producer T.Siva of Amma Creations has said that this topic should not be a matter of public discussion. He said “There have been many times when stars have compromised on their salaries and ensured that their movies get released. Discussing their salaries in public is not a good thing, as it is a very sensitive topic.”

“Every technician in the movie associates themselves with the star of the movie, saying I work in Rajini sir’s movie, I work in Vijay sir or Ajith sir’s movie. When the entire crew associates themselves with the star, it is not in the right way to talk about reducing their salaries. It is something the producer and the actor himself must discuss. I’m sure all actors will be willing to do what’s best for everyone.”

“This crisis situation can not be solved only if big stars reduce their salaries. There are so many actors and actresses in a movie and each one of them must discuss with the producer. I’m sure they will agree to what’s best for everyone and help the producer and the movie" said Amma Creations T.Siva.
