Now, Mani Ratnam is all set in completing this daunting task, as he has already started shooting for this movie long back. This period drama is to have an enthralling cast ensemble.
Talented artists that include Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Lal, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Riyaz Khan are amongst the many well-known artists who are part of the crew.
The makers had surprised everyone of us recently by unveiling a new official poster that stated that the first part of this magnum opus will be released in 2022. While this news came as a happy news for the fans, it was known that the shoot had resumed in Pondicherry.
Just yesterday, we had reported that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will be seen in a prominent role has joined this Pondy schedule. Now popular actor Babu Antony has taken to his social media and shared, “I am glad to let you all know that I shall be joining the cast of Manirathnam Sir's dream project Ponniyin Selvan, To play a key role.”
