Veteran actor, screenwriter, director and President of the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA) Nasser had earlier worked with Late. Crazy Mohan as an actor in the K.S Ravikumar-directed 1996 comedy film, Avvai Shanmugi, in which Crazy Mohan had worked as the dialogue writer.
In a recent interview to Behindwoods, the actor spoke about his collaboration with the writer and the unknown behind the scene-stories of Avvai Shanmugi. When asked about how he reacted to Crazy Mohan's death, he said "I have worked with Crazy Mohan. I have acted in those scenes that were crafted by him. I have spent so many evenings with him, in the company of his poetry and music."
He also reminisced about his Avvai Shanmugi days. He said "We enjoyed a lot during the shooting. We laughed a lot. Nowadays, shootings happen in the company of sad faces. His art had given me a lot of pleasurable days."
Nasser also added "He's a very good painter, he has done a lot of artistic work in the devotional side. I miss him." Nasser admitted that he did not know the satirist in person "I haven't known him personally, but as far as I've heard, he is a kind soul with a lot of helping tendency. We have have met only during the shooting process. He was a wonderful person." Nasser had also confessed that during his days as a struggling actor, he had earlier approached Crazy Mohan's drama troupe for roles.
