In the past few days, Corona seems to have mentally affected people?

"It’s important for people to be aware and take precautions. There are some countries reporting as many as 500 deaths in a day, which is a very frightening experience. In order for us to not experience such scares, these precautions are being undertaken."

A lot of people are confusing common cough and cold symptoms as Corona, can you provide clarity on the symptoms?

"Corona symptoms are cough, fever and breathlessness. Travel history is also important."

What is the extent of Corona in Tamil Nadu?

"So far, there have been seven cases. Contract tracing is not an easy thing to do. Even if someone visits a tea shop, we need to trace it. That’s why we are insistent that people don’t travel except for essential purposes and home quarantine themselves."

What stage of Corona are we right now in?

"We have been acting according to the guidelines of the government. I have been hearing a lot about this (stage). So far, there has been no community spread of the virus in Tamil Nadu. In order to avoid that only, a lot of precautions are being taken. But even now, it pisses me off that I see people in abundant numbers at railway stations not making plans to avoid non-essential travel."
