MAMMOOTTY THE SAMARITAN

Superstar Mammootty is back in the news for his benevolence. Devanand and Lekha Namboothiri are the two souls who will always include the actor in their prayers.

The three year old Devanand’s dream to meet Mammootty came true when he was invited to the set of Thoppil Joppan. On September 7, 2015, two year old Devanand was attacked by a stray dog and he was hospitalized with severe injuries. Mammootty offered financial assistance and bore all the expenses through the charitable organization, Care and Share International Foundation and since then Devanand wanted to meet his savior. Devanand came with fruits to open Ramzan fasting for Mammootty who in return gifted the kid with bags and books.

In 2012, Lekha Namboothiri had donated her kidney to a total stranger after being inspired by Mammootty’s character in the movie ‘Loud Speaker’. Lekha had been hospitalized recently for surgery on her spinal cord. Mammootty donated Rs 1 lakh for her treatment. The actor has also guaranteed to fulfill her wish to meet him.
