Lyricist Vairamuthu opens up about his controversial comment on Kabali

Legendary lyricist Vairamuthu has opened up about his controversial comment on Kabali that he made during a poetry book launch event recently.

In his official press statement he clarifies that he missed out a word in a rush of blood, which eventually led to so much of bad blood. Vairamuthu says that he was talking about a lot of things, about love, the lost flight and also the recent release Kabali. The line that created all the controversy was when Vairamuthu said "though Kabali's failure can't be accepted, it needs to be understood". He claims that during the speech he had mistakenly missed out an important word 'success' before the word 'failure' in an emotional flow of words. Missing out the word ‘success’ in his speech was the cause for the controversy, says Vairamuthu.

The legendary lyricist says that he and Rajinikanth share a very good friendship. He also adds that he spoke to Rajinikanth once he arrived in Chennai and clarified about the issue.
