The shoot of the two-part movie going on at a brisk pace in multiple locations across India and we had also reported that Chiyaan Vikram and Jayam Ravi had completed shooting for their portions in the movie. After finishing up shooting in Puducherry and Orchha, the team has reportedly travelled to Indore to shoot crucial scenes near the Narmada River. Trisha, who is expected to play the role of Kundhavai, took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of a beautiful river and used the clapperboard sticker to hint that the crew is shooting in that area.

Trisha has been very active on social media, sharing updates from the sets often. She also posted a picture of the Orchha temple on her Instagram stories a few weeks back.

Ponniyin Selvan is being jointly bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran and Mani Ratnam, under their Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners. Ravi Varman cranks the camera for the movie and Sreekar Prasad is taking care of the editing of this movie, whose music is composed by AR Rahman. The magnum opus also has Brinda Master on board as the choreographer while Sham Kaushal will be taking care of the action sequences.
