HOW DID MS DHONI LAND AT CHENNAI SUPER KINGS? VIRAL THROWBACK - WATCH!

Currently, a throwback video of late VB Chandrasekhar talking about how he picked MS Dhoni for CSK in the first IPL auction is doing rounds on Social media. Former Indian Cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth had also shared the video and wrote an emotional caption.

Srikkanth tweeted “Wanted to share my late friend VB's story (in Tamil) on how he picked the

@ChennaiIPL in 08! Wonderful memories on how he picked Dhoni! I wonder how it would have been if 1 of my all time favorites @virendersehwag turned out for the men in yellow!”

Speaking about Mahi, VB Chandrasekhar said “I knew him from the time he played for India A. During a match against Pakistan A, he came only a day before the match and knocked at my room at 11:00 pm in the night, sporting the long hairdo.”

“During the first IPL auction, most teams had their own Icon players - Mumbai had Sachin, Kolkata had Dada and so on. We wanted to pick one player and we arrived at MSD. However, it was not easy. We had budget constraints, as we also had to pick other players. There was also heavy competition from Mumbai, Rajasthan and the other teams. Finally, after so much thought, we spent our money on MSD,” said VB.
