People like Karan Johar came in for much criticism for promoting talent that mostly comprised star kids. This led to speculation that Reliance Entertainment kicked out Johar from their upcoming project, Sooryavanshi due to the fear of bad press surrounding the producer. However, this is mere conjecture as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Sooryavanshi is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead. The film has been slated to release, coming Diwali.
