THANU'S PROMISE TO NA MUTHUKUMAR’S FAMILY

Poet Na Muthukumar’s premature demise has put the industry and fans in a state of shock and now there are various aspects on the sidelines of his demise are surfacing.

A section of the media insisted that the late lyricist had led a life of penury which was the reason for his inability to fund a proper medical treatment for his ailment. However, his brother Ramesh Kumar had issued a note saying it is false and that his late brother did not suffer from any financial issues and had left enough for the family to take care of themselves.

It was also said that there were many cheques from producers of films favoring Muthukumar for his services as a lyricist, which were returned due to lack of funds.

Meanwhile, Kalaipuli Thanu had convened a meet in which he reiterated that if there were such ‘cheque-bounce’ issues, if the family gave him a list of producers who have defaulted, he would ensure that the payment would be made to the family.
