Jyothika's speech in Magalir Mattum audio launch about Suriya and Bramma

The audio launch of Magalir Mattum happened this morning (24th April), which was attended by many celebrities including Suriya, Karthi, Sivakumar and family, director Pandiraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Oorvasi, Sudha Kongara, S.R.Prabhu, Lyricist Vivek and others.

Jyothika started her speech by thanking all the men in the Sivakumar family, for their extensive support. She said, "Suriya always comes till my car doorstep, waves bye and sends me off, and only then, he goes for his shoot. As I am the one, who is doing small budget films, I start off first, and Suriya goes only after that.

I guess Bramma has knowingly or unknowingly chosen a perfect lady to play the lead. Because, it has been ten years since I got married and in these ten years, I have just made one dosai for my purushan. It came like something in between a dosa and a chappati, but it wasn't intentional. Thank you, Suriya, for Magalir Mattum, and for eating that dosa. I made the dosa, on the next day after marriage, and after that, Amma told me no need of making dosas. Even when I ask Suriya if I can make him a coffee, he runs away from me, and I guess that is why they sent me to acting. But, seriously, without Suriya, I wouldn't be here. Thank you, Suriya!

Bramma is the first director, who has given an actress, a character that is younger than her original age.
Thank you Bramma for this new idea. Heroines, after 30, are considered old. All scripts which I get now, I receive roles of a mother to a 12 year or 14-year-old kid, but Bramma has given me a youthful character.

Ghibran has been fantastic. He has recreated old soulful melodies in the film, and those are my favourite numbers. (To Ghibran) You are doing another female-centric film, Aramm, with Nayanthara ma'am. Thank you for supporting female-centric films.

Oorvasi ma'am- though it was difficult to cope with her in the beginning, I managed after that. She is such a good singer too. A bundle of talent! Bhanupriya ma'am's dubbing is the best, according to me and we miss her seriously today. Saranya ma'am should be given the 'female superstar' tag. She has given job opportunities to lots of women out there, she also takes care of her family, two of her daughters are practicing medicine. It is tough to manage all these and adding to this, she is acting films. Thank you so much."
