'Raatchasi' by Gowtham Raj is a film which addresses the issues in government schools through the eyes of a newly appointed teacher 'Geetharani' played by Jyothika. The film releases today (5th July) and it's premiere happened yesterday in Sathyam cinemas which was attended by many celebrities and the press.

Celebrities including Vivekh, Harish Kalyan, Aditi Balan and more attended the premiere and they shared their opinions to the press. Harish Kalyan said "This film can be used as a model code for government schools. It did not felt like being preached, it was very interesting. All the characters including Jyothika mam and the school children have played very well and nobody over did their parts. I enjoyed the film very much and everyone must watch it."

Star comedic actor Vivekh stated "This film can be considered a tribute to the government school children and staffs. Everyone must watch this film. This film must get Tamil Nadu state award and National award for it's message. For Jyothika, the director of the film (Gowtham Raj), the producer (Dream Warrior Pictures) and all the technicians involved in the film must be proud for making this film. More films like these must come, to better the standards of government schools and to create awareness among the people. The film has been made really well and it have come out in the right time. My heart-felt wishes to the entire team. Government must screen this film in their schools for the students and the teachers to understand their duty and feel proud of it."

"I am a big fan of Jyothika mam and she has been doing strong roles and  female-centric films continuously and this one is was very interesting. The film has talked about education system and the politics involved in it and it was brilliant. It was 'Mass', which is traditionally seen in male centered film. I enjoyed the film very much" said 'Aruvi' fame Aditi Balan.
