Home > Tamil Movies > Tamil Cinema NewsMythological stories coming to life onscreen has always been a strenuous job and the casting for the same is a tedious task. Saying that Samantha will be seen as Shakunthala in her first mythological film titled as Shakuntalam.
Directed by Gunasekhar of Anushka Shetty’s Rudhramadevi fame, the film will feature actor Dev Mohan of Sufiyum Sujathayum fame as Dushyant. For the unversed, the film also marks the acting debut of Tollywood star Allu Arjun’s daughter - Allu Arha.
Now, the makers have unveiled the much-awaited first look from this film featuring Samantha who is surrounded by deer, peacock and other creatures in the poster. The actress looks stunning wearing a white saree and floral jewellery.
Sharing the first look, Samantha captioned the pic as, “Presenting… Nature’s beloved… the Ethereal and Demure.. “Shakuntala” from #Shaakuntalam.” And must admit, the poster has managed to grab a lot of attention!
