High Court extends stay on Chinmayi's ban from dubbing union

The film had cinematography by N Shanmuga Sundaram, and music by Govind Vasantha. Singer and Dubbing Artiste Chinmayi Sripaada was one of the strongest pillars of the film, as she lent her voice for Trisha and also sang most of the songs.

Following the #MeToo movement, she was banned from the dubbing union by it's president, Radha Ravi. However, she sought a stay on it at the High Court of Madras, and the court has now extended the stay. This basically means, she can legally work in the Tamil Film industry.

She took to Twitter to announce this. She tweeted: "The Hon’ble Court has extended the stay on the ban on my working in Tamil Films by the Dubbing Union headed by Mr Radha Ravi."

"In normal parlance - I am legally allowed to work in Tamil films."
