Actor Chemban Vinod made his acting debut with the movie Nayakan in 2010. Being an exemplary performer, he gained his footing quite well after his break in Amen, starring Fahadh Faasil and Swathi Reddy in the lead roles.

The actor has made a mark for himself with variant characters in more than 50 films, mostly in comedic roles. His best performances include his stints in Amen (2013), Tamaar Padaar (2014), Sapthamashree Thaskaraha (2014), Iyobinte Pusthakam (2014), Kohinoor (2015) and Oru Second Class Yathra (2015).

Vinod was a physiotherapist by profession before he ventured into acting. He had married Sunitha, also a physiotherapist who works in New York City. They have a son John Chris Chemban. They later got divorced.
