Dora director talks about the plagiarism issue

Dora is an upcoming horror-thriller which is all set to hit the silver screens on the 31st of March. The film stars Nayanthara in the lead role and is directed by Doss Ramasamy.

The movie was put on a plagiarism issue recently. There was a person who claimed that Dora story was his story. The Dora team had also lodged a complaint later on and proved that the story is original and they had given out a press release with a clarification on the issue.

We then contacted the director to get a clear view on the issue, and he said, ''Exactly when we announced a release date, they started the problem. I got shocked when such an accusation was thrown at me. I conceived the idea and developed the script, and it has been a year since then. I lodged a complained with the South Indian Film Writers Association and then realized that he had finished the script only last December. They then read both the stories and decided that both are different. We have often heard of stories where there exists a ghost in a car and my story was completely different from his. Neither my team nor I have any association with him, In fact, I had never seen him. Now that we have proved that it is an authentic script and the film has come out well, we are going to just focus on the release work.''
