Today is an exceptional day for Kollywood as one of the biggest pan-Indian directors, Shankar, celebrates his 54th birthday today. Shankar is one director, who thinks big and almost unanimously delivers hit films, which perform stupendously at the box office. His films are the most expected at all times, and almost every other technician in the field has dreams to work with this extraordinary director.

After debuting with Gentleman, he went on to make films with larger than life characters, like Indian, Mudhalvan, Anniyan, Sivaji, and Enthiran. He never shied away from using the best in technology and brought Indian filmmaking to a whole new level. He is currently working on the sequel of Enthiran, one of the first and best robot films in India. Shankar's out of the box thinking, attention to detail and monumental thoughts, make him stand out as one of the best directors in India.
