It was announced that VIP 2 would be postponed to the first half of August due to inevitable reasons.
The film has now finished its censor procedures and come out clean with a 'U' certificate. Dhanush confirmed this news with his tweet, "#vip2 is a clean "U" .. for all ages. Just like part one. #raghuvarancoming #verysoon". The new release date would be announced by the team in a few days of time.
