Based on the story of Malti (Deepika Padukone), who was attacked with acid, the film makes an attempt to understand the consequences of surviving an acid attack in India, the society's reaction and behavior difference towards the attacker and the survivor.
The director's hat is donned by Meghna Gulzar and the project is bankrolled by Fox Star Studios, Deepika Padukone, Govind Singh Sandhu, and Meghna Gulzar. 'Chhapaak' is written by Atika Chohan and Meghna Gulzar, and is set to hit theatres on 10th January 2020.
The first song from the movie 'Nok Jhok' was released today. Set to a pleasant and romantic tune, the song includes lovely sequences including Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey. Siddharth Mahadevan croons to music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy team and lyrics are by Gulzar. Check out the song video here!
