Clarification on Vijay's 'Nanbi' controversy in Sarkar Audio Launch

Sarkar is an upcoming film that has Vijay in the lead role, while Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar play the female leads. The movie also has Yogi Babu, Lallu, and others in important roles as well. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss, and produced by Sun Pictures Kalanithi Maran.

The audio launch of the film took place on 2nd October in a private college on the outskirts of the city. Vijay gave a terrific speech. One of the highlights of his speech was usage of the word 'Nanbi'. He was trolled a lot on the internet following this, but now lyricist Pa. Vijay has come in support of the Mersal actor.

He took to Twitter to clarify that the word is indeed a pure Tamil word. He also clarified that it has been used extensively in Tamil Literature. It must be noted that Pa. Vijay wrote a book titled Nanba-Nanbi.

Sarkar, bankrolled by Sun Pictures, will be releasing this Diwali, and the fans of Vijay are eagerly awaiting the release of a Vijay film after 1 year. He was last seen in Atlee's Mersal.
