Since then, Anushka's journey is truthfully enviable, and the spectacular choices she has made till date regarding her movies and roles have only added glory and variety to her illustrious career. Let's look at the actress's evolution through the years.

After Super in 2005, Anushka Shetty debuted in Kollywood with Rendu featuring Madhavan as the lead role, after 3 other projects in Telugu. Since then, the actress had a steady career until 2009. It was then that she had her much deserved big break - with Arundhati. The movie was a massive hit, and Anushka's fierce and powerful portrayal of Arundhati and Jejamma was widely lauded.

Up next, the actress starred in the Billa (Telugu) movie. Then again a spectacular release awaited the actress in Tamil - Vettaikaran (2009) with Vijay. She began 2010 with Kedi in Telugu, followed by Singam (Tamil), and other Telugu movies - Panchakshari, Khaleja, Thakita Thakita, Nagavalli and Ragada.

We cannot fail to mention that the actress had been one of the most important characters in one of the most grandest movies of Indian Cinema - Bahubali franchise. The actress’s role as Devasena in both the movies were top-notch, she nailed every stage of the lady’s life with the same boldness and courage that she had from the start. Also, Anushka is not alien to portraying totally different roles - we got to see the star in ultimately different roles from Devasena to Rudhramadevi to Sweety (Size Zero) all in one go, in the same year.

The last full-fledged role she did was in Bhaagamathie, where her roles as Chanchala IAS and Bhaagamathie was quite alluring. She also played a cameo in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy as Jhansi Maharani Lakshmi Bai. Up next, she is awaiting the release of her multilingual film Nishabdham / Silence - which is expected to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and English.
