Helmed by H. Vinoth, the film is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under the banner Bayview Projects LLP in collaboration with Zee Studios, as co-producer and distributor. The film featured Ajith Kumar and Huma Qureshi in the lead.

On being asked to share AK61 update, initially the producer asks everyone to have patience as the update would be announced gradually.
