Though his action had mixed-responses, it is not clear as to why he had actually left the house with only a few more days to go for the finale and he had good chances to bag the title too this time. In one of the promos released by the makers it is known that the host of the show, Kamal Haasan asks Kavin about the real reason of exiting.

Will Kavin come up with the real reason in tonight’s episode is still unknown and we have to wait and watch for the episode. Meanwhile, sources close to us have confirmed that after walking out of the house, the first thing that he did was to rescue his mother, Rajalakshmi from the jail. He has taken his mother out in bail, and has reportedly said to pay back the money to investors soon.

For the unversed, Rajalakshmi (Kavin's mother), and relatives including Rani, Arunagiri and Soundarajan were said to have conducted an illegal chit fund company from 1998-2006. There had been 34 members who had given money in this chit fund which adds up to a total of 32 lakhs and 28 thousand which was not returned by the company and a complaint had been filed on them for this in 2007 under Trichy's crime branch.

As the accused Soundarajan and Arunagiri had deceased, only Rajalakshmi and Rani were punished with 5 years imprisonment with Rs.1000 fine under fraudulent (money laundering), and under the chit funds laws, Rs. 2000 fine and 2 years of imprisonment, which adds up to 7 years in prison.
