Before making his directorial debut, he was an assistant director to Shankar for the films, 'Nanban' and 'Endhiran'.
Atlee always seems to be very positive, despite being trolled by the netizens. He keeps doing his work believing that it will bring him the success that he deserves and obviously, he is successful now. He ventured out into the field of direction very soon but, proved that he can be the best amidst the rest with his consecutive victories. He always wanted to be a filmmaker and worked all possible ways out to be one. Now that he has become a filmmaker, he keeps identifying talents that deserve to be featured in his films.
He is happy that he followed the path to his dream that brought him where he is today. Whenever and wherever he happened to address the mob, he had always been optimistic about believing one's dream that will do magic. He always believes that one should seek a place where one is valued.
