The star is currently gearing up for the release of his next movie ‘Sooryavanshi’. He is also working on ‘Laxxmi Bomb’, which is the official remake of Raghava Lawrence’s blockbuster movie ‘Muni 2: Kanchana’.
Latest reports surfacing online suggest that ‘Laxxmi Bomb’ has been sold to the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar for a whooping 125 crore rupees and the movie will have a direct digital release in a month after the lockdown is lifted. However, there has been no official confirmation on the same from the makers.
Akshay Kumar’s fans, who were really excited to see Akshay in a different avatar in this remake are now really disappointed. They have posted many tweets, requesting the makers to not go for a digital release and wait for the theatres to open, to have a grand theatrical release.
One user commented “i request to the makers of #LaxmmiBomb not to Release it DIRECTLY ON OTT platform!! That movie have a huge Potential it will rock at the BO please be kind to FANS also!!!”, while another fan Tweeted “#LaxmmiBomb is on Hotstar. Confirmed.😏 @akshaykumar sir will be remembered as the first superstar releasing his film on OTT. That too in the best phase of his career. 😐”
An official confirmation on the release of the movie from the makers is awaited. Watch this space for more updates.
