Popular actress Namitha debuted into Tamil cinema with the Vijayakant and Prabhu Deva starrer 'Engal Anna' and played memorable roles in various films including Billa, Azhagiya Tamil Magan, Aai and more.
Apart from enthralling on the silver-screens, Namitha was also quite popular on the television side when she was judging the dance reality show 'Maanada Mayilada' and she also garnered attention with her participation in the first season of the Kamal Hassan hosted show Bigg Boss Tamil.
The actress was last seen in 'Pottu' which starred Bharath in the lead role. And now, the actress has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today with the witness of ex-minister of state, Pon Radhakrishnan.
