He had also gained popularity through serials directed by Raadhika Sarathkumar such as 'Selvi' (2005-2009) and 'Chandrakumari' (2019). His role as Bhoominathan in the super hit serial 'Vani Rani' (2013-2018) gained much appreciation.
Venu Arvind has also made a mark in movies like Madhavan's 'Alaipayudhey' (2000) and Silambarasan's 'Vallavan' (2006).
The versatile actor had contracted COVID-19 sometime back and also battled pneumonia. He later had a surgery in the brain to remove a tumour. It is said that soon after the brain surgery, he fell into a coma. He is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit at a private hospital in Chennai.
Various celebrities and fans have extended their prayers to the actor and are hoping that he would come back to good health soon.
