Dheena believed that people coming from downtrodden conditions are inherently helpful, as they have experienced poverty and know the value of external help. When asked about those individuals who seek publicity by helping others in these times of crisis, Dheena replied, "It is wrong. We have been helping for fifteen days. It started with five houses and we expanded."

Dheena, who believed that his humanitarian efforts must be away form he media glare and reluctant to give an interview, also recalled his conversation with an anonymous donor, "He donated the necessary commodities, and we asked his name and he refused to disclose. But I stored his number as Iraivan (god) in my phone. Anybody who does help without expecting anything in return is god. I am just a driver who transports the commodities to their destination. If someone helps for publicity, then he is the biggest fool."

Dheena also added that fellow actors Robo Shankar, Bobo Shashi and many of his colleagues from the Tamil film industry have joined him in this cause.
