Multi faceted actor, director, screenwriter and lyricist Parthiban was last seen onscreen in Ayogya, which stars Vishal and Raashi Khanna in the lead role. The action film directed by Venkat Mohan is the Tamil remake of Temper.
Ahead of the release of his directorial Oththa Seruppu, Parthiban gave a special interview to Behindwoods in which he spoke about the film, his combination with Vadivelu, the apprenticeship with legendary director K. Bhagyaraj and much more.
When asked about the distinct idea of Oththa Seruppu, which involves only a single on-screen character, he says "What kind of aspects will attract the audience to view a film in theatres. For instance, lets take Nerkonda Paarvai, Ajith's presence and his style is enough for the viewers to watch the film. Same applies to a Vijay film. The is no need for anything more than that. But in the case of my films, there must be something beyond star value."
He also added that "I am trying to break the misconception, like how can a single character engage throughout a film. I want to hook the audiences into the theatres, and the trailer is a result of that."
When asked about whether we can expect the return of his evergreen combination with comedian Vadivelu "It upto Vadivelu to decide. We will defenitely do a film if he decides to. If he crosses all the hurdles and problems, we can do a film together and I have a script ready for him."
