Rahul Dev talks about his role in the Ajith starrer Vedalam
Hunky villain actor Rahul Dev, recently seen in Vikram's 10 Endrathukulla, also plays the lead antagonist in the Ajith starrer Vedalam, which is gearing up for release very soon. We have a quick chat with the senior actor on his role in the film and the positive vibes in the unit.
"I have a lot of Tamil dialogues in the film and that is my biggest takeaway from Vedalam, for sure. I couldn't dub on my own, due to time constraints, but director Siva has chosen a good dubbing voice for me, and was kind enough to even play the voice sample to me.
I play the eldest of 3 brothers, who is forced to come down from Milan to Chennai due to an emotional incident involving his brother.
I and Ajith were mutually co-operative in takes and during the climax, one shot took about 9 takes as we all wanted the perfect shot for the betterment of the film's output. Many cameras and angles were used to film the climax and DoP Vetri has done a great job.
I wonder where director Siva gets all his energy from!. He keeps saying 'Sai Sai'. His strong point is his dialogues which will invariably go down well with the masses in theaters.
In all, it was one single unit, very driven and close. There was no fragmentation at all."
