SS RAJAMOULI'S BAAHUBALI BEATS SHANKAR'S ROBOT

The Hindi dubbed version of SS Rajamouli's period extravaganza Baahubali has reportedly netted 22.35 crores after the first weekend from around India. The involvement of a big name like Dharma Productions has definitely helped the film to get this reach across the Hindi belt. This is now by far the biggest opening registered by a South Indian film's Hindi dubbed version, beating Shankar's Robot.

 

Of course, the content of Baahubali is also being appreciated for the grandeur, technical finesse, the extraordinary war sequence and the splendid performances by the actors. The day-wise split up of the opening weekend's business is as follows

 

Friday - 5.15 cr

Saturday - 7.09 cr

Sunday - 10.11 cr

 

As we can see, each day was progressively better and this augurs well for the film's prospects. We have to see how the film holds in the weekdays now.
