Equal share for Rajini and Vijay in the Top 5

Malaysia is a major overseas market for Tamil films and is actually the biggest contributor to the collections of any Tamil film, after TN. Vijay's Kaththi has also made a real impact in Malaysia till date, after a monstrous opening for Diwali.

 

Reportedly, Kaththi is now the 3rd highest grosser ever in Malaysia among all Tamil films with a gross of 1.86 million USD (11.4 crores) till date, and is also this year's biggest sensation. Enthiran and Sivaji are well ahead of Kaththi, while Singam 2 and Thuppakki complete the Top 5. That makes it two Rajini films and two Vijay films each, in the Malaysian all-time Top 5.
