A galaxy of bigwigs turn up for Simbu's family wedding

Simbu’s sister Elakkiya’s wedding reception was held yesterday, the 10^th February 2014 at Leela Palace, Chennai. Elakkiya married Abhilash Singapore, a leading businessman. The reception was obviously a grand affair with the stars descending on the stage to bless the couple. And there was also quite a huge representation from the political arena since Simbu’s dad Vijay T Rajendar is an active politician.

From the political field, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Karunanidhi, his son Stalin, Dhayanidhi Maran, Rajathi Ammal, Anbumani Ramadoss, Napoleon and Dhayanidhi Alagiri attended the reception. 

From the film industry, there was a huge representation in the form of Superstar Rajinikanth, his wife Latha and daughter Aishwarya, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, his parents Shobha and Chandrasekar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Bharath with his new bride Jashly, S Ve Shekar, his son Ashwin Shekar, Manobala, Vijaykumar, Prashanth, S J Suryah, Krish and wife Sangeetha, Jayam Ravi, comedian Soori, Mirchi Shiva with wife Priya, Sivakumar, Karthi, Gnanavel Raja,  Kushbu & Sundar C, Bhagyaraj and Poornima Bhagyaraj, Venkat Prabhu with his wife and Premji, Vivek, Cell Murugan, Meena, Mumtaz and Nalini.

Directors Shankar, K Balachander, Vikraman, Vasanth, Bharathiraja, K S Ravikumar, Vijay, Pandiraj and Cheran came in to be a part of the celebration in Simbu’s household.
 

Drums Sivamani, music director Harris Jeyaraj with his wife Suma, Dharan, singer K S Chithra, and Anuradha Sriram graced the joyous occasion.

Vijaya T Rajender, his wife Usha, sons Simbu and Kural were the perfect hosts who took care of every guest. Simbu was at his dashing best in a North Indian style designer ensemble and greeted everyone and made sure they were comfortable. In all it was a festive occasion to be remembered by everyone who attended it.
