10 crores for 100 years
Sep 18, 2013 It was earlier reported that the celebrations for the 100 years of Indian Cinema will happen in Chennai from the 21st to the 24th of September. The event will be conducted by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) at the Nehru Indoor Stadium situated in Chennai.
There are only three days left for the event to kick off. With the inauguration of the event inching closer, we are getting some interesting information about it. It was reported yesterday that A.C Thirulokachandar is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Well the news today is that, the total budget for the event is a whopping 30 crores, out of which a sum of 10 crores has been allotted by Dr. J. Jayalalithaa, the honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu.
The event will happen in grand style in the presence of top stalwarts of the Indian film fraternity such as K. Balachandar, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachan. Stay tuned for more updates.
