Kumki was presented before the censor board today and it has been awarded with a clean U certificate without any cuts. The censor authorities were unanimous in their praise for the movie and congratulated the entire team. Vikram Prabhu was trumped for a grand run in the industry like how Karthi stormed the industry post Paruthiveeran.

The reason for the delay in the movie’s release was regarding the use of the elephant in the movie and the reservations that certain authorities had, in this regard. But the related officer who came to check on the elephant during the film’s shoot was very happy with the way the animal was treated and fed. The unit made sure that the elephant was fed with sugar canes and this earned the animal’s warmth. The entire unit treated the animal with respect and a lot of care and this made sure that the shoots proceeded hassle-free.

Kumki is all set to release on December 14^th.
