Actor Raghava Lawrence was enraged when his mother was pushed recently by the officials at the sanctum sanctorum of Tirupathi a week back. His strong statement against the ‘Jarukandi’ system has brought a change in Tirupathi.

The Thirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam officials have decided to do away with the 'Jarukandi' system in the temple. Devotees won't be pushed aside in a hurry from now and they will be allowed to pray in peace.

Reacting on this, Lawrence thanked the officials and said, “It’s good news for all. I am happy that TTD officials have taken the right decision. It gives joy to lakhs of devotees like us.”
