There are very few people who dare to choose unfamiliar themes. Kamal took a big risk when he tried to apply the Butterfly effect and the Chaos Theory in Dasavatharam and it worked. A similarly alien yet very relevant theme was chosen by S.P. Jananathan when he made E. It was something that most of us were not aware of till then; big multinationals using the poor and uneducated people of the country as testing grounds for their new drugs without legal or ethical controls. Now, the same director is back with something that we are all ignorant about; international political games. Fact or fiction, we don’t know. But, the theme will certainly get you excited. Here it is.

In the dense forests of our country, there is an amazing geographical phenomenon. Rich supplies of oxygen as air currents move to other parts of the world. In other words, these forests act as reservoirs of oxygen even without our knowledge. But, there are people who know what is happening and they are not going to sit back without manipulating this great phenomenon. They are
international powers who enter the environs under the guise of providing aid. This conspiracy goes undetected until one army officer and five NCC cadets stumble on it. What happens? Watch Peraanmai.

Jayam Ravi will be seen in an all new, rough and tough role, perhaps for the first time in his career, in Peraanmai. He will be a no nonsense officer who is taking five lady cadets to train in the dense jungles.

Expect action, great visuals, thrills and a riveting experience overall. Peraanmai has already made news many times. First, for the use of special cameras to film fight sequences in the jungle, a racy song which has Jayam Ravi in action, bashing up adversaries; a huge set resembling a rocket launching station and many more things.

Peraanmai surely sounds, feels and looks different. May it be a class apart this Diwali!
