Madhubana Kadai promises to be a peek into the life of hardcore drinkers. The title reveals the same and the promo posters that were circulated recently have also talked in the same length. One must say the promo posters were really interesting and kindled the curiosity among moviegoers. 

The director Kamalakannan spent close to 3 months in wine shops and bars before commencing his film. The entire story is supposed to unfold over a day's span and the film is bound to be laced with plenty of humor. 

A lot of amateurs were roped in to play the various characters in the film. The main liquor shop set was erected in a marriage hall in Erode and all these amateurs were put through many rehearsals to perfect their parts. Ved Shankar has composed the music and Rafeeq, Iswarya play the main lead roles. 

The director has not intended to send any strong message or glorify drinking through his movie. The movie has been passed with a clean U certificate despite the touchy subject.
