Renowned Malayalam actor Thilakan, 77, passed away today due to multiple organ failure. He had been battling with his illness for the past month or so. He breathed his last at around 3 am today.
Thilakan has starred in over 200 Malayalam films and in 2009, he was also awarded the Padma Shri award. The last rites are expected to be done at around 4 pm today and his body will be kept for public homage.
His last film was Ustad Hotel which was a big hit. In Tamil he had been a part of films like Alibaba, Villain and Chatriyan. We pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.
