When Vishal was questioned about why he chose to have Vedi released on September 30th when a Diwali release is just round the corner, he said that it is not because he did not want to compete with the biggies but because of the major concern – non availability of theatres.
Vishal said that no matter how big a banner is or how huge the star cast is – no film is able to sustain at the box office for more than two weeks. And it is near to impossible to reach the silver jubilee mark.
With such a situation prevailing, it is smart to release the film when the time is right instead of waiting for the time to arrive.
